Get rid of frustration

Learn good equalization

More smiles on your dives

Want to make your freediving more enjoyable? Let's blow your mind, not your ears!

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Frenzel or Mouthfill still feels confusing

  • You cannot equalize head down

  • You’ve been working on it, but nothing’s changing

  • You’re not even sure how to train EQ properly

  • You secretly think Mouthfill is a cheat code for people who can’t Frenzel deep

  • You lose your EQ in the last few meters

If you nodded at any of these, please keep reading (nailing EQ is in your future!)

Why equalization is so so tricky to really master!

Most freedivers start equalizing instinctively, picking up tips from YouTube, courses, workshops, or dive buddies. But that’s often just surface-level learning. Equalization is a motor skill. You need time, practice, and the right guidance to get it right and enjoy it to the fullest.

We should work around three pillars: building knowledge, developing body awareness, and training control for smooth and effective equalization.

KNOWLEDGE

AWARENESS

CONTROL

Have you trained equalization as consistently as any other skill?!

Many freedivers feel uncertain about equalization. Not because they don’t try hard enough, but because they are simply not being taught in a way that helps them truly understand how it works.

Workshops or quick tips introduce the basics but rarely offer the deeper practice or guidance needed to master it and often leave you hanging.

Like learning a new language, it takes consistent practice to become fluent. At first, it may feel awkward, but with focused training, feedback, and the right guidance, it will start to feel natural. And you’ll have the knowledge to troubleshoot when things don’t go as planned.

What to expect from a equalization course with The Dry Sessions

This isn’t a quick fix. It’s long-term training where you treat EQ like any real skill. You’ll learn step-by-step, with space to practice, ask questions, and adjust. You’ll get live coaching, structured exercises, and personal feedback.

Which course is for you?

  • START: If you’re still switching between Valsalva and Frenzel or just started learning Frenzel

  • DEEP: If you want to learn Mouthfill from scratch, improve your Mouthfill control, or work on deeper Frenzel

Why Take This Course?

Most courses explain equalization. This one also helps you train it and doesn't leave you hanging.

You get a system that breaks things down clearly and gives you the time and support to master each step.

No rush, no overload. Just consistent practice and coaching.

It’s a focused yet relaxed vibe, where you get to learn, improve, and have fun with the crew!

Course can be given in Dutch or English, whichever you prefer.

What does a typical training week look like during the course?

You start the week by learning new theory and exercises on the online platform. Then you practice at home or anywhere you like.

You share your videos in the WhatsApp chat to get feedback. You’ll know what to adjust, how to improve, and have some laughs along the way.

Almost every week, we meet online to train together, talk about freediving, and work through any challenges.

Here’s what to expect:

Step-by-step learning. Each session builds on the last. You learn in a way that makes the skill stick.

  • Train 1-1 or as a duo. Never train alone! Get real feedback, personal help, and space to focus.

  • No info dump. You get just what you need at the right time, with space to practice.

What other students said

I struggled with Frenzel and couldn’t get past 5 meters. This course finally broke it down in a way that made sense. I really appreciated Peter’s approach and the weekly sessions. He took time to explain simple things that made a big difference.

Jessie

Canada

With Pieter I found the sweet spot between precision and play. His nerdy joy for the details made complex things feel natural, especially Mouthfill. I felt seen, supported, and inspired to keep going deeper.

Ana Giselle

Honduras

Training with Pieter was a real boost in my freedive journey. No quick fixes, just steady progress and awareness of all the small muscles involved in EQ. The tailored feedback, knowledge, and supportive coaching made me a more confident diver.

About The Dry Sessions. My name is Pieter, nice to meet you!

Hi, I'm Pieter. I’m from the Netherlands, where I grew up around tulips, windmills, and lakes.

I fell in love with freediving in 2019 during a trip to Cambodia (don't go there just for diving ;-)). Since then, it has taken over my life.

In 2022, I left my job in sales and distribution to live a more meaningful life in Dahab, Egypt.

At the start of 2024, I completed the SHARE equalization course with Federico Mana. It was a 16-week deep dive into equalization techniques and teaching methods. It built on everything I had learned from my own freediving journey.

Now I help others discover freediving and improve their skills. I’m here to support you and guide you wherever you are in your practice.
