Learn good equalization,
for more smiles on your dives
Let’s be honest: Learning Frenzel on your own usually involves a lot of weird faces and "I think that was it?" moments.
Usually, you head to YouTube for some help, only to find a mountain of tutorials that leave you feeling more lost than found.
You watch one guy talk about "K-locks," another talk about "Piston movements," and by the end of it, you’re just a confused person pinching your nose in a room filled with twelve different opinions and little progress.

Meet your personal Frenzel Instructor (Box included).
Frenzel First was created to give you answers, not just more theory. YouTube and most courses just show you how to do it right. Frenzel First shows you what it looks like when you’re doing something wrong, too. And explains why it's happening, and tells you how to fix it. All of this in a language you can actually understand. It's the next best
thing to a coach looking over your shoulder
Most people fail because they "Don’t know what they don’t know."
You can’t correct a mistake if you don’t realize you’re making it. Usually, you watch a video and try to copy it, but you have no way to verify if your body is actually doing what you think it’s doing.
This course mirrors a 1-on-1 coaching session,
focusing on the exact spots where students usually
trip up. Every exercise shows you the common
hurdles before they slow you down.

Don’t leave your certification up
to a coin toss.
The ocean is for diving and having fun, not for struggling through your course. Learn Frenzel equalization on land so that you can have an awesome (first) experience in the blue!
What’s inside the "Box"?
Frenzel First focuses on the fundamentals: Just the drills you need to build yourself a quality Frenzel technique.
We like to keep things simple and work with just 3 chapters:
Understanding, Feeling, and Doing.
First: we cover the theory briefly so you get the concept without studying.
Second: short tutorials to help you find and feel the muscles involved.
Third: the main course: 6 essential exercises.
The Complete Standard.
We believe that all the answers to your journey should be in your hands from day one. That's why we’ve included Diagnostic Videos directly under every exercise.
We show you exactly what’s going wrong so you can troubleshoot yourself and keep moving.
As simple as 1-2-3.
Stop jumping between YouTube tutorials. YouTube is a mess of opinions that often leave you more lost than found. Most people fail because they try (advanced) drills before the basics are in their system, creating bad habits that are hard to break later on.
We’ve cut the noise and organized the essential drills into a direct map. You move from Understanding to Feeling to Doing without wasting time on things that don't get you results.
A straight line to success: No more random tutorials; just a clear map from your first try to a solid technique.
Just the essentials: Only the drills required to build a high-quality Frenzel, nothing else.
Efficient programming: Build the motor skill correctly the first time so you don't spend time unlearning mistakes later.
Building a motor skill like Frenzel takes more than just watching a perfect demo. You need to know how to bridge the gap between where you are and where you need to be.
Normally, you’d need to pay a private coach to spot these errors for you. We’ve skipped the paywall by building these "common mistakes & fixes" directly under every exercise.
The main tutorials show the goal, but these videos break down the "why" behind the struggle. You use them as a reference to spot your own errors and apply the fix immediately.
15+ Diagnostic Videos: We show you the common mistakes, explain what and why it's happening, and demonstrate exactly how to fix it.
Master the motor skill: Break bad habits before they settle in by comparing your movement to the coach's standard.
Instant confirmation: Stop wondering if you’ve got it. Each video gives you the specific physical cue needed to fix the error and keep your progress flowing.
✅ 1 theory chapter: The physics of Frenzel, simplified and done right.
✅ 4 tutorials: Drills to help you feel, isolate, and warm up the muscles.
✅ 6 main exercises: The essential drills for a solid, reliable technique.
✅ 20+ diagnostic videos: Walkthroughs of every common mistake and exactly how to fix them.
✅ Bespoke X-Ray visuals: Custom animations that show exactly how the "hidden" internal muscles move.
✅ Online platform: Mobile-responsive access so you can practice and troubleshoot wherever you are.
✅ 6 months access: Launch version at a reduced entry price.
Nothing but a mirror and some focus.
Most people jump to buying gadgets before they even understand how their muscles move. We don’t do that. It all starts with creating strong fundamentals, focusing on building the skill using what you already have.
Your own anatomy: No balloons or EQ tools required. If you have two fingers to pinch your nose, you have all the hardware you need.
A simple mirror/phone camera: Your primary diagnostic tool for spotting the external cues of internal movements.
Your phone/computer: To access the platform and check the videos as you train.
If any of these sound familiar. This course
is for you!
You are thinking or about to take a freediving course
You cannot equalize head down
You did a freediving course and didn't pass the requirements because of equalization.
Frenzel still confuses you.
Tried to learn Frenzel with YouTube and felt more lost than when you started?
You want to improve your control and awareness since you've never really practiced this.
What our students are saying
I struggled with Frenzel and couldn’t get past 5 meters. This course finally broke it down in a way that made sense.

With Pieter, I found the sweet spot between precision and play. His nerdy joy for the details made complex things feel natural. I felt seen, supported, and inspired to dive deeper.

The Equalization wall
Why over 25% of new freedivers go home without their course certificate.

I surveyed 50+ active instructors with 3,100+ students of experience specifically to measure the impact of equalization failure. The data is a wake-up call for anyone heading into a freediving course:
The average group (52% of instructors): Usually, 2 to 3 students out of every 10 fail to hit their depth.
The "tough" groups (23% of instructors): These instructors see 4 to 5 students fail per class.
The total failure rate: Across the board, ALMOST 27% of students don't finish their course specifically because of equalization.
The "strugglers": On top of that, instructors said another 22% of the students who did pass only made it by struggling with equalization over the course length.
Don’t leave your certification to a coin toss.
The ocean is for diving and having fun, not for struggling through your course. Master Frenzel on land, so you can have an awesome first experience in the water.
Your training hub: accessible anywhere.
Everything in one place.
This is an online training method, not a random video dump. It breaks Frenzel into 5-minute practices so you can practice frequently to maximize progress whenever, wherever.
Full HD demonstration videos: High-quality visuals with onscreen Do-along guides on the side of every exercise. You watch, you mimic, you learn.
The checklist: Every exercise comes with a clear step-by-step guide. It shows you exactly what to look for and how to check your own form right then and there
See what's happening behind closed doors: Custom animations and designs show you the muscle movements that normally stay hidden. Stop guessing what’s happening in the dark.

About The Dry Sessions.
My name is Pieter,
Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Pieter. I’m from the Netherlands, where I grew up around tulips, windmills, and lakes.
I fell in love with freediving in 2019 during a trip to Cambodia (pro tip: don't go there just for diving;-)). Since then, it has taken over my life! To the point where, in 2022, I left my job in sales and distribution to live a more meaningful life in Dahab, Egypt.
Over the years, I have been teaching equalization online, whether it's 1-1 or in groups. I've attended about every equalization course out there I could get my hands on because I'm just a big nerd like that. I always wanted to build my own course and teach equalization exactly the way I see it; Frenzel First is my first product!
I'm stoked to share my knowledge and passion for freediving with those who love exploring beneath the surface.
