I surveyed 50+ active instructors with 3,100+ students of experience specifically to measure the impact of equalization failure. The data is a wake-up call for anyone heading into a freediving course:
The average group (52% of instructors): Usually, 2 to 3 students out of every 10 fail to hit their depth.
The "tough" groups (23% of instructors): These instructors see 4 to 5 students fail per class.
The total failure rate: Across the board, ALMOST 27% of students don't finish their course specifically because of equalization.
The "strugglers": On top of that, instructors said another 22% of the students who did pass only made it by struggling with equalization over the course length.

My name is Pieter, nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Pieter, from the Netherlands, where I grew up around tulips, windmills, and lakes. I fell in love with freediving in 2019 during a trip to Cambodia, and in 2022 I left my job in sales and distribution to live a more meaningful life in Dahab, Egypt.
After coaching numerous students, I noticed everyone roughly hits the same hurdles while learing equalization. YouTube and most courses show you a perfect demo, but never how to bridge the gap if you can't replicate it.
So I decided to build course that give you these mistakes and fixes included from day one, in a language you can actually understand.
